In fairness, there were instances when Harold had some impressive plays when he was running. However, I'd like to see this from the best players. It's not something you do one time or two times that impresses me. It's the consistency of doing it every play after play that can inspire me to action. Harold played with a streak in each contest against passing as well as against the run. But you may also see a game in which he looked like just another guy.
This isn't a good thing.
The good thing about Eli Harold is all of the problems I have concerning him can be solved. He has a decent set of pass rush moves that he can utilize them more. He has demonstrated that he is able to do a good job in the face of running and he's just got to focus on becoming better and more consistent with his methods. As he gets bigger and stronger in the Madden NFL 24. that can help in both areas. He certainly is physically fit enough to play an outside linebacker on a 3-4 or 4-3. but he's also ideal defensive end . His scheme flexibility will also help him.
The downside is that he's a bit late to play in the NFL right at the moment, and could not be ready for a year or so. It's going take time to build up the kind of size and strength he'll need to be a good player in the Madden NFL 24. It's also going to take some time to master his technique better and learn to play more consistently. Then, eventually, he'll probably be a great player however, the team that decides to take him in will need to be patient.
This sounds like a good idea, but the vast majority of teams will not take non-quarterbacks in the draft, unless they expect to see him play as soon as they can. I can understand that "everyone" has edge rushers, and the possibility of a run on them early on in the very first round, however, I'd be hesitant to take Harold that high. Hell, I might be nervous about taking him in the second round just to be completely honest with you. He's got some work to be done and if I'm an organization that requires immediate assistance from a pass rusher, I'm not sure he is your guy. I've always wanted to like Harold as cheap madden 24 coins an individual player, but I just don't see it.
