Utilizing the app, you NBA 2K MT can exchange Locker Room codes as well as features like the Scan Your Face feature for your MyPLAYER customized character in the MyCAREER mode. However, some users have reported that they're having problems connecting to the app, and they are not able to access the highly-anticipated face scan feature. This is 2K Games' official statement about the fix for the "failed to sign in to 2K Sports" error message for the NBA 2K23 companion app.
There isn't a solution to this problem as of this writing. But, NBA 2K23 developer Visual Concepts and publisher 2K has officially recognized the "failed at logging into 2K Sports" error that persists when using the MyNBA2K23 app and said that a solution is coming soon.
In a tweet, the Buy NBA 2K MT @NBA2K account noted that before accessing the MyNBA2K23 app, players must first log in to their PC or console account first. So, you should be having access to the app when you have the active NBA 2K23 save file on PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch or Steam before syncing your account with the app. But the fact that some percent of players aren't able access the app has not changed.
