For one, the game recently saw in excess of 1 million accounts suspended due to use of bots. Then, another of the more important issue has been brought up concerning the concept of male and female characters in "Lost Ark." The fact that the game has gender-specific classes has caused the game to be targeted by gamers and critics, and has since become an issue that has been a source of contention for viewers. Many have suggested that the problems with "Lost Ark" are indicative of continuing problems with sexism in video games as a whole.
In addition to certain roles in "Lost Ark" being gender-neutral, other players have criticized the game for providing female characters with "revealing" and sexually suggestive costumes, particularly in the game's character selection and menu screens. Following the controversy, Amazon Games has released an announcement on what it will do to address users' concerns about "LostArk."
Amazon Games' franchise lead Soomin Park has confirmed that "buy Lost Ark Gold" will make some modifications to address the needs of players. in an interview to Eurogamer, Park said that while the game will still have the original female character's outfit options, additional options will be introduced to counterbalance the more dangerous pieces.
