A measuring belt scale(https://www.truckscale-cn.com/measuring-belt-scale), also known as a conveyor belt scale or weightometer, accurately determines the mass flow rate of bulk materials being transported on a conveyor belt. It achieves this by combining two crucial measurements:

Weight Measurement:
Load Cells: The core of the weight measurement system are load cells. These are highly sensitive force transducers strategically placed on the conveyor frame to support the moving belt and its carried material.
Weight Determination: As the material moves along the belt, it exerts a downward force on the load cells. These load cells precisely measure this force, which is directly proportional to the weight of the material on the belt.

Speed Measurement:
Speed Sensor: A speed sensor, typically a rotary encoder or tachometer, is installed on a rotating component of the conveyor system, such as a pulley or drive shaft.
Speed Calculation: The speed sensor accurately measures the rotational speed of the chosen component. This rotational speed is directly related to the linear speed of the conveyor belt.

Mass Flow Rate Calculation:
Data Integration: The belt scale's integrated electronics continuously receive and process data from both the load cells and the speed sensor.
Calculation: The system multiplies the instantaneous weight of the material on the belt (measured by the load cells) by the instantaneous speed of the belt (measured by the speed sensor). This calculation results in the mass flow rate of the material, expressed in units such as kilograms per second or tons per hour.
