Weighbridge:
The structure that supports the load cells and a specific section of the conveyor belt.
It's designed to ensure accurate weight measurement while allowing for smooth material flow.
Load Cells:
These are highly sensitive sensors that measure the weight of the material on the belt.
They convert the weight force into an electrical signal.
Speed Sensor:
Measures the speed of the conveyor belt.
Common types include tachometers (measure rotational speed) and encoders (measure linear displacement).
Signal Conditioning:
Electronics that process the signals from the load cells and speed sensor, amplifying them, filtering noise, and converting them into a usable format.
Integrator:
A device that continuously calculates the mass flow rate by multiplying the weight per unit length by the belt speed.
Display:
A device that displays the mass flow rate, total weight, and other relevant information, such as alarms or diagnostic messages.
